In everyone’s life, there are moments in time when we need someone to listen, understand and support us. Counseling can help individuals and families identify and increase their strengths and overcome the barriers that are preventing the achievement of their goals.
Therapeutic counseling services are offered to both youth and families. An assessment is completed at the first appointment. Based on this assessment, a personal counseling plan is developed.
Counseling plans may include:
- Individual and/or family counseling
- Referral to other community resources
- Family Goals
- Communication skills
- Use of cognitive, behavioral, reality therapy and experiential techniques
Through counseling, goals are achieved, individuals and families are able to function better at home and in the community, family relationships are improved, and behaviors and educational or job performance is enhanced.
Counseling services are provided by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) on a fee for service basis, due at the time of service. A sliding fee scale based on income is also available.
